The 3rd Annual Procyon Wildlife Centre Fundraising Gala, held in November, was a wonderful success. We are grateful to everyone who joined us for an evening dedicated to supporting injured and orphaned wildlife across Ontario.
Guests enjoyed a three-course dinner with an open bar, live music, entertainment, and dancing, along with fundraising highlights including silent and live auctions and a raffle. Debra Spilar, Procyon’s Custodian & Executive Director, shared an update on the centre’s progress in 2025, showcasing the positive impact made possible through community support.
The night featured plenty of laughter thanks to comedians Kelly Zemnickis and Desiree Walsh. Rusty, our red-tailed hawk, captured everyone’s attention with his calm and regal presence and quickly became the star of the evening. Guests also watched as wildlife artist Sarah McComb-Turbitt created a live portrait of Rusty, which was later auctioned off.
Thanks to the generosity of our guests and sponsors, the Gala raised important funds to support wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and release efforts. We extend our sincere thanks to our sponsors and encourage continued support of the local businesses that helped make this event possible.
