Our NEW Education Trailer will be arriving soon!

Stage 1 – prepping the space where our new education trailer will be located for Procyon Wildlife is done. We had to cut down two trees . Awesome job done by Mark, Jennifer, Colin and Debra Spilar.

Stage 2 – disconnecting the hydro so the trailer can be moved next week.

Stage 3 – will be delivery of the trailer, hopefully next week as well.

Stage 4 – connecting the trailer to hydro.

We are so grateful  when a plan comes together!

Huge SHOUT OUT and THANK YOU to the National Wildlife Rehabilitation Foundation!!

Working quietly in the background, Vickie Janetos (the Founder of NWRF) is a force of nature collecting donated items, working on bulk discounts, helping so many centres with supplies, import expenses, sooo many food items for sooo many different species of wildlife.  She knows the life of the rehabber and works to meet the needs of as many as possible.

Pictured here are squirrel nest boxes supplied by Vickie Janetos of NWRF.

Examples of the help offered by the NWRF are squirrel nest boxes, specialized foods for squirrels, porcupines, etc…, and assistance with the massive expenses of specialized milk replacer formulas for every possible species. Vickie even supplied us with stainless steel garbage cans with tight lids which are used for rodent-proof food storage.

Vickie shows up with her vehicle loaded to the max so often during the year.

As we look back on a year full of challenges, we are once again so very thankful for her tireless efforts to support Procyon (and many others).
